KZ4A Electric Locomotive

KZ4A electric locomotive is a high speed AC drive passenger haulage electric locomotive, researched & manufactured by CSR Zhuzhou Electric Locomotive Co., Ltd, according to 3- loco purchase contract signed with KTZ (Kazakhstan National Railway Corporation) on November 5, 2001, which will be used on Republic of Kazakhstan railway main line, mainly applied to drive Talgo high speed tilting passenger train purchased by Republic of Kazakhstan from Spain with max. speed up to 210km/h. The whole research & develop process of loco insists principle of the advanced, mature, economic, applicable and reliable. We have celebrated the first locomotive roll-out on March 12, 2004.
