CSR Zhuzhou Electric Locomotive Co., LTD (the
former Zhuzhou Electric Locomotive Works) , as an international
famous research & manfacture base for rail transprotation
equipment, has provided 70% of the electric locomotives held
by china railway, and has exproted electric locomotives to
Middle East and Central Asia for several times. On the basis
of the strong capacity in system integration and the powerful
advantage in mechanical-electric integration, with the guide
and support from national industry policies, in 2001, ZELC
was awarded the designated enterprise for the nationalization
of urban mass transit
The consortium of ZELW and SIEMENS won the purchase
order of 120 metro cars (3 cars to make up one train, 40 trains
in all) for Guangzhou mass transit line three in 2003. Line
three of Guangzhou rail transportation has an overall length
of 36.33km, including main line and branch line, with 18 stations.
With 2/3 power distribution,
